April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention month and Mid-Valley Parenting is happy to be partnering with a number of agencies in Polk and Yamhill Counties to bring awareness and keep kids safe. Here is what currently is taking place (this list will be updated as other events, walks, and parenting seminars are planned):

  • Tuesday, March 28th the Polk County Board of Commissioners will be signing proclammations at 9:00am during the Board of Commissioners meeting.
  • Tuesday, April 4th, 12:00pm to 1:00pm: Child Abuse Prevention Walk followed by "planting" a pinwheel garden in Dallas at the Courthouse.
  • Saturday, April 15th, 10:00am to 12:00pm: Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde 7th Annual Fun Walk followed by lunch.
